Midsummer Sale
Its time for a clear down at the nursery as everything is getting very big and wild, and to be honest I think Steve and Mick are getting fed up with watering it all.
As a result we are having a midsummer sale - Steve is going through the stock as I type this and details of plants and relevant price reductions will be posted shortly.
Come along on the weekend of 28th - 29th June and bag yourself a bargain.
Latest additions
We went on a trip yesterday to the wilds of Herefordshire to collect the latest additions to the nursery, a wonderful assortment of hardy and half hardy carnivorous plants from P&J Plants.
Paul & Jackie the owners hold the NCCPG national collection of Sarracenia and the plants are mature divisions from this.
The plants are all of fantastic quality and most are going into flower now so the next couple of open weekends will be a great time to visit especially if you have never seen these plants as anything other than micro-propped imports.
The pitchers are not yet fully formed as the plants need to ensure that the flowers are pollinated before eating the pollinating insects!!! Isn’t nature wonderful.
14th April
Extra open Days
Due to increasing visitor numbers we will now be opening the nursery every 2 weeks instead of once a month, see the "Visiting" page for a full list of dates. On each of the opening weekends we will be offering discounts on selected plants and this will start with an offer of up to 50% off all bamboo on the weekend of the 19th / 20th April.
Davids Nurseries
We are pleased to announce a tie in with Davids nurseries & garden centre of Ash Lane, Martin Hussingtree who will be stocking a range of our plants. Davids offer an extensive range of top quality plants at highly competitive prices along with friendly advice from Reg Moule (the BBC Hereford & Worcester gardening expert) and a fantastic cafe "The Olive Grove". The nursery is located on the A38 between Droitwich and Worcester and can be contacted on 01905 458558.
