Olea europea bush olea bush
The classic plant of Italy and Spain. Olives grow well in the UK if given a sheltered sunny location with free draining soil. This variety is however very slow growing. Don't expect much in the way of an olive harvest though. This is a truly stunning architectual plant with silvery evergreen foliage. Hardy, full sun and free draining soil are a must.

Tetrapanax papyifer “Powis Form” trex
This is the hardy form of Tetrapanax sold by various nurseries under the Rex/ Empress etc. names. It is not a new cultivar. I have a number of different parent plants at the nursery and the plants for sale are propogated from them. The original hardy plants all came from Powis castle so this is a hat tipping excercise to them. I also think that Andy/Mulu have the right to sell their plants as Rex and it would be wrong to cash in on that. Hardy and vigorous once established.
